Today, with the excessive amount of health/dietary/medical information available, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and confused with what to believe and practice. Further, it is even easier to get caught up in workout regimens, diets, etc. that are actually hurting us rather than making our bodies stronger and healthier. This is especially common in our society, these days.

A Chinese Medicine health and lifestyle consultation goes something like this: we assess where your health is currently. This is done through the traditional diagnostic methods of pulse-reading (determining the flow of your internal energy as can be felt on the pulses at your radial artery) and tongue diagnosis (examining the shape, color, landscape and other characteristics of your tongue).

Next, we have an in-depth discussion of your lifestyle. In other words, does your lunch routine usually involve consuming fast food while making business phone calls? Do you usually eat a huge dinner at 10pm and go to sleep around 1am? Do you begin each day depressed and exhausted with 3 shots of espresso? Do you end each day with a scotch? Are you happy? Are you miserable? Do you worry all the time?

Most importantly, are you willing to change?

Once we get an idea of where you are, we can then begin to use the life-nourishing principles of Chinese Medicine to craft a new vision of you. Obviously, this is a journey – not a destination. The goal is to create a new lifestyle – one that will nurture you physically, energetically, spiritually and emotionally – for the rest of your life.

If you think this is something that might interest you, or something you need to get to that next level on your health and wellness path, please contact me. As always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have and support you in any way I can.
